Good news on the education front. The high school graduation rate in Kansas remained flat last year, with about 88% of the state’s high schoolers graduating on time. That’s the same as it was in 2018. The Kansas News Service Reports that the graduation rate has slowly increased over the past decade. But according to Kansas Deputy Education Commissioner Brad Neuenswander, as the rate improves, the job of reaching the remaining students gets even harder. The goal is to have 95% of Kansas high schoolers graduate on time by the year 2026.
