The Franklin County Conservation District has handed out its annual awards to farmers who practice outstanding conservation. During its annual meeting, Mike Skidmore of Goppert State Service Bank announced one award that went to Barton Farms in Northwest Franklin County.
The family also runs an 80 cow dairy operation, one of only six in Franklin County.
