PAOLA — There will be one Miami County Commission race in November. Fifth District Commissioner Lyle Wobker has primary challenge. Republican Danny Gallagher, rural Paola, will take on Wobker for the GOP nomination. The winner will face Democrat Joshua Furish, rural Paola, in November. The 5th District covers most of western and southern Miami County except the city of Osawatomie. No one filed against the other two county commissioners, Jim Wise and Ronald Stiles. The filing deadline was last week although independents may still file before the August primary.
