Today is the First Friday of the month and that means it’s time for “First Friday Forum”. This month the featured speaker will be Kevin Blackwell. He is an expert on Impeachment Proceedings. Since Impeachment has only happened three time in the history of the United States, many people don’t understand what it is all about. Blackwell will explain the constitutional origins of the procedures, discuss why the Founding Fathers thought it was important to include it and what they outlined as Impeachable. He will discuss the three times Impeachment has occurred: Andrew Johnson in 1868, Bill Clinton in 1998, and President Trump just this year. The First Friday Forum is also a chance for you to hear reports from local officials and various departments and organizations. It will be held at Neosho County Community College at 10 this morning.
