This week has been Severe Weather Awareness Week in Kansas and we have been featuring a different type of severe weather every day. Many meteorologists in the area are predicting a very active severe weather season in our area. Knowing when to take shelter from approaching storms is important. National Weather Service Meteorologist, Rich Smith, says the key is to not wait too long:
