Officials from various departments in the County and surrounding communities met yesterday morning for an informational meeting abou the coronavirus. Many topics were discussed on what people can do to prevent the spread of the virus. One of those is social distancing. Franklin County Health Department Director, Midge Ransom, explained:
Ransom says we all need to make sure we practice good hygiene. Wash hands frequently, keep surfaces clean and disinfected and avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose. She also says the cancellation of many events, such as the NCAA basketball, in the long run, is a good thing, avoiding a few sick people to infect others in a crowded arena.
