With the first presumptive positive case of covid 19 in Franklin County, the Franklin County Health officer, Dr. Bud Ransom, has ordered the suspension of all classroom and extracurricular activities in all schools in Franklin County, with include Ottawa USD 290, Wellsville USD 289, Central Heights USD 288, and West Franklin USD 287.
Also, the Franklin County Commission has declared a Local State of Disaster in effect through Saturday, March 21st.
The Franklin County Health Department is emphasizing the importance of washing your hands regularly, for at least 20 seconds with soap and water. Cover your face when you cough or sneeze, clean and sanitize common surfaces, avoid large groups and socially distance yourself from people.
