MANHATTAN — The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating an ATV crash that killed a Kansas Wildlife and Parks officer at the Country Stampede near Manhattan early Saturday morning. State troopers said 32-year-old park ranger Luke Nihart was pulling into the parking lot of the Tuttle Creek Wildlife and Parks office when he lost control of his ATV and overturned. Nihart was severely injured and was taken to Mercy Hospital where he later died, troopers said.
