The Franklin County Health Department has announced the county’s 7th positive case of COVID-19. The said that positive cases have been located throughout the county and are not associated with any one organization and can be traced to travel outside the County. There are 29 County residents under isolation orders as the Health Department awaits test results.
New 911 call screenings are taking place. Anyone calling 911 can expect questions pertaining to the house hold potential exposure to COVID-19 as well as symptoms. This is done with the public’s interest as well as the First Responder’s safety in mind.
As the number of cases continue to rise in Franklin County, Health officials say it is critical for people to comply with the “Stay At Home” order in effect Statewide. The order is intended to create distance between households, decreasing the risk of exposure to COVID-19. The virus can be spread by individuals who show no symptoms as well as those who are symptomatic.
County Commissioners understand that this is a very trying time for the entire Community and they appreciate a continued and more vigorous effort and cooperation to help slow the spread of this virus.
