The Kansas Department of Health and Environment gave an update on the COVID-19 pandemic yesterday.  As of yesterday afternoon at 2:00, the number of cases in Kansas has risen to 428 with nine deaths associated with the virus.  There were 219 males and 209 females with patients ranging from under one year to 95 years old.  There have been 79 hospitalizations reported.  Franklin County cases remain at seven.  Douglas County with 24, Osage with three, and Linn County with five.  Anderson and Miami Counties have no reported cases, as of yesterday.

Governor Laura Kelly says the people of Kansas are starting to adhere to the stay at home policy, but improvements need to be made:

KDHE Director, Dr. Lee Norman, emphasized the fact that Kansans must take this seriously and many appear not to be.  There are reports of many people not adhering to the “Stay At Home Order” issued by Governor Kelly on Monday.  He says it is critical for everyone.
