OTTAWA — Ottawa police had been searching the Marais des Cygnes River after someone reported he spotted what looked like a man floating in the river near the Main Street bridge. Officers went up and down the river looking at debris. According to preliminary reports, police thought a floating metal drum may have sparked the original report. More details weren’t immediately available.
