The Kansas Department of Health and Environment gave an update on the COVID 19 pandemic yesterday afternoon.  The number of cases in Kansas has risen to 1,046, with 38 deaths associated with the virus.  There have been 248 hospitalizations reported.  Franklin County remains at 10 cases, Johnson County reports 244, Douglas 38, Miami 2, Linn 5, Osage 3 and Anderson County still has no reported cases.

Yesterday, the Legislative Coordinating Council overturned Governor Kelly’s order restricting Church gatherings of 10 or less, saying it was unconstitutional and unenforceable.  State Health Officer Dr. Lee Norman says we are entering an important time:

Good news in Franklin County!  The number of positive cases remains at 10, and 8 of those have recovered.  County officials say we have to continue with all the guidelines in the next few weeks to keep the numbers down.
