The Kansas Department of Health and Environment gave an update on the COVID 19 pandemic yesterday afternoon.  The number of cases in Kansas has risen to 1,426, with 69 deaths associated with the virus.  There have been 327 hospitalizations reported.  Franklin County stayed at 12 cases, Johnson County reports 323, Douglas 40, Miami 4, Linn 5, Osage 4, and Anderson County has no reported cases.  The peak in Kansas cases is still a couple weeks away and Dr. Lee Norman says there are several factors which will lead to the virus peaking and then the number of cases decreasing:

The KDHE says new evidence suggests people without symptoms can transmit the virus and they recommend all people use face masks when going out in public.
