Many events have fallen victim to COVID-19 this spring. One event that has been a staple for Ottawa youth the last 35 years is dare camp. The Ottawa Police Department recently announced that the camp would not be held this year. Police Chief Adam Weingartner says the decision was based on not knowing when the COVID-19 procedures would be lifted and the intense planning involved.
He adds that the police department staff is working on making next years camp bigger and better than ever.
