The State of Kansas will reopen slowly, gradually and cautiously, in three phases, we have entered Phase One of Governor Kelly’s Plan to transition from response to COVID 19 to recovery.  In her address Thursday night, which you heard right here on KOFO, the Governor outlined all three phases.  Kelly says some businesses can reopen on Monday, including restaurants, with restrictions.

She added that barber shops, nail salons, bars, theatres, gyms, tattoo parlors, community centers, outdoor festivals, swimming pools, sports leagues, tournaments and group camps will be allowed to open in Phase Two, beginning May 18th.  All this can be scaled back if there is a major outbreak of COVID 19 in the state.  The Franklin County Commission is meeting to discuss specific plans for the County.  We will let you know what the results of that meeting are as soon as they become available.
