Franklin County Attorney, Brandon Jones, has filed for re-election to the Office for a new four year term. He was appointed in October 2018 to finish the unfinished term of Stephen Hunting who resigned to take a position as an Assistant U. S. Attorney as a Federal Prosecutor. Jones says he loves his job here:
Jones was the Assistant County Attorney from 2000 to 2003. He is also the Anderson County Attorney, but has said he will not file for reelection there. He says one of his goals is to reduce cost and increase efficiency by moving the office to a paperless Case Management System, and while holding criminals accountable, assist in getting them help and services to get them back on the right path.
