OTTAWA — The Franklin County Fair judging in the photography contest is today but the fair starts in earnest Wednesday night with livestock entries. The fair begins Thursday. Various 4-H activities, shows and judging has been going on about two weeks before the fair, said Frontier Extension 4-H agent Joellen Arnold. The judging has been spread out to allow judges to meet with contestants and provide more detail on their entries, she said. In addition, the fair has gotten so big, it’s almost impossible to squeeze the activities into three days, she said.
