OTTAWA — The Ottawa Recreation Commission’s Facebook page says ORC has just received a $250,000 donation from the Goppert Foundation. The ORC said it’s the first 6-figure donation for the new recreation center next to Eisenhower School and calls it a huge investment in the community. The Goppert Foundation was created by the family who founded the Garnett State Savings Bank, with banks in Garnett, Ottawa and Pomona.
