The track at Ottawa High School needs fixing, but it will stay as is for a while. School Superintendent, Dr. Ryan Cobbs, pleaded with the School Board to spend nearly half a million dollars for a complete renovation. Cobbs and Board Member, Malydia Payne, discussed the situation:
The Board voted three to three on both options. It amounted to rejecting both proposals. One to spend $4,500 to fix cracks; and the other to spend $430 Thousand for a renovation. The future of the track remains unclear.
