OTTAWA — The Franklin County Fair made its official start with the annual bucket calf show this morning. This afternoon and evening’s events include the dairy cattle and goat shows, and plenty of animal and other judging inside and out. The annual Franklin County barbeque is tonight from 5 to 8 south of Celebration Hall. It’s a major fundraiser for the fair association and one of the most popular features of the fair. Tickets are still available at the gate, said Frontier Extension 4-H agent Jo Ellen Arnold. The meat sheep and goat show is 6:30 tonight at Hayward Arena.
