OTTAWA — The Republican race for Franklin County 1st District Commissioner may be the most contested but it won’t be the most expensive of the three commission races. The four GOP candidates aren’t spending much more than $500 each in the race. Commissioner Sue Farrell reported that she has spent $276.87. One of her challengers, Ron DePriest filed a form saying he won’t receive nor spend more than $500. Challenger Katy Boothe reported she’s spent $250 so far, not counting her $245.50 filing fee. Challenger Colton Waymire loaned himself $1,000 and has spent $614.06. There are no Democrats in the race.
