OSAWATOMIE — The Osawatomie school board has proposed a budget for next year that doesn’t have a property tax increase. School Supt. Gary French told the Osawatomie Journal that he tried to hold the line on the school levy this year because the district had to raise property taxes by three mills last year. The district will spend about $18 million next year. The public hearing on the school budget will be Aug. 18.
