TOPEKA — Kansas Chief Justice Robert Davis has announced his retirement from the Kansas Supreme Court. The 70-year-old Davis had been on medical leave most of this year. He has been on the high court 17 years and has been chief justice for a little more than a year and a half. As the judge with the longest tenure on the supreme court, Justice Lawton Nuss will serve as chief justice until Gov. Mark Parkinson names Davis’ successor.
