CAMP LeJEUNE, N.C. — Marine 2nd Lt. Zachary Pederson recently graduated from the Marine Corps basic combat engineer course at Camp Lejeune, N.C. During the five-week course, he learned about camouflage techniques, building and repairing bridges, roads and field fortifications; dealing with demolitions and land mines. He has been in the Marines for five years. Pederson, a graduate of Prairie View High School, is the stepson of Daniel Atkinson of Osawatomie.
