Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a disease that causes the death of neurons that control voluntary muscles and progressively leads to a person not being able to move. There is no cure; but, there is hope for one. President of Ottawa University’s Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, Luke Graham, says they are attempting to raise money through the “Live For Lou Foundation”:

They are hosting a virtual 5-K. The virtual run can take place starting tomorrow through the 19th. You can donate to the cause and participate in the run by taking a screenshot of your distance and time, then send it to “[email protected]. Donations can be made on VENMO at Phi Delta Theta Kansas Theta, or dropped at OU.

“Live Like Lou” is a national nonprofit entity whose mission is to raise awareness and funds for ALS patients and their families, as well as for research to help find a cure for this fatal disease.
