The Ottawa Police Department has received a big clue to finding those responsible for the drive-by shooting Sunday evening. A surveillance camera somewhere in the area of 8th and Olive, captured an image of the car they were driving. Shots were fired from a white, 2008 to 2010 Chevy Impala SS with a rear spoiler and dark tinted windows. A picture of the car is posted on the Ottawa Police Department Facebook Page as well as the KOFO Facebook Page. The car was last seen traveling east on 8th and north on Cypress Street.
Ottawa Detectives are asking anyone who saw this vehicle in the area or know the owner of the car, to contact the Ottawa Police Department. Ottawa Police Chief, Adam Weingartner, says it was just pure chance no one was hit by the gunfire sprayed from the car as it drove by 8th and Olive on Sunday. Several shell casings were found in the street and bullets struck the house and outbuilding.
