A complaint about speeding cars on Shawnee Road east of K-33 is drawing mixed reactions. During the Franklin County Commission Meeting, Public Works Director, David Lee, took note of a traffic study conducted in the area.
Lee noted that the road is not far from Hillsdale Lake, so in the Summer there are plenty of speeders. A majority of County Commissioners indicated they do not yet want to post speed limit signs on the road. Several indicated they may instead ask for some extra traffic enforcement in the area. More study of the problem is expected.
