With the Supreme Court Ruling Tuesday that the 2020 Census could end today, Anderson County Officials are asking everone to make sure they are counted in the Census. Without a proper count, the County could lose out on millions of dollars in Federal Money. In Garnett, the response rate is at 71% and an undercount means the community would miss out on nearly $44,000 in Federal Funds for each household that is missed. In Colony, where the response rate is only 51%, each household not counted missed out on nearly $53,000, and in Kincaid, which has the lowest response rate in Anderson County at 29.5%, the community misses out on nearly $60,000 for each household missed.
You only have until 6:00 this evening to finish the 2020 Census. It only takes about 10 minutes, get online at census2020.gov. Be Counted!
