OTTAWA — Downtown parking and some traffic will be restricted Saturday morning.
The reason? There will be lots of people running and walking for good health and more. It’s the first Ransom run, a fundraiser by the hospital charitable association for state-of-the-art digital mammography equipment, said Larry Felix, hospital CEO. Ottawa police Lt. Adam Weingartner said there will be no parking on the west side of South Main Street between 2nd and 5th streets Saturday morning from 7 to 9. The southbound outside lane of South Main Street will be blocked to vehicle traffic during the run-walk. Officers and Volunteers in Police Services will direct traffic, he said.
Motorists should park in the city parking lots to the west of Main Street, on the
east side of Main street or on side streets, he said.
