The Ottawa Police Department has been busy the past couple days with reports of multiple stolen vehicles. The thefts seem to have been concentrated from 8th Street South to 23rd Street. Several were recovered, but others are still missing. Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner says all of the thefts have a common denominator:
He adds that in the vast majority of car thefts and burglaries in Ottawa over the past several years, the doors are unlocked, keys are in the car and, often valuables are very visible.
