Voters in Baldwin will be asked to make the final decision on whether the City should spend $1.7 million to renovate the Historic Bauer Building into a Community Center. The Bauer Building dates from around 1941, when it was built by the Works Progress Administration. Baldwin City Council Member, Susan Pitts, says the existing building is still in good condition:
Pitts says the City Council is likely to vote on the Project in December, and if approved, would be put to the voters next April for their decision.
