The Louisburg “Halloween On Broadway” scheduled for today has been cancelled. Organizers say they wanted to adhere to Kansas Department of Health and Environment Guidelines which would have made social distancing difficult in the Downtown Broadway setting, even if the event were spread out to neighboring streets.
They wanted to move the event and make it a drive thru setting, but many businesses still had COVID concerns and were not sure if it could be pulled off drive thru style. After weighing business owners’ concerns and organizers’ desire to adhere to KDHE Guidelines for Gatherings, the decision was made to not proceed. They say the event will be back next year, bigger and better than ever!
