RICHTER – Passengers in a car stuck on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks at the Richter crossing on K-68 fled the car before it was hit by an eastbound train Saturday morning. No one was injured. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Collene Stucky, 26, Osage City; was driving eastbound on K-68 when she slowed down the railroad crossing. Officers said her car was rear-ended by a pickup driven by Deanna Palmer, 46, Pomona. Stucky’s car became high-centered on the tracks as the crossing arms activated and came down. She was unable to remove the car from the tracks.
