Yesterday, the Franklin County Health Department reported 43 new COVID positive tests since Friday, the largest jump in positive cases to date. The County is also at it’s highest ever active case count with 106, with 64 pending tests and 8 hospitalizations. Governor Laura Kelly is encouraging individual counties to enact stricter mask mandates, but she says, if not, she will act:
Kansas, as a whole, has recorded over 89,000 total cases and over 1,000 deaths since the pandemic began in March. Health officials encourage all people to follow the guidelines set forth to combat the spread of the virus.
