The decision has been made. It didn’t take West Franklin Superintendent Jerry Turner, long to decide to shut down In Person Learning at all West Franklin Schools. At last night’s Board Meeting, Turner said things are at a crisis point in the District and a decision needed to be made:
The move to remote learning will begin on Tuesday and go through December 4th. All activities within the District have been postponed through that day. Turner says it was a tough decision and knows the impact it will have on USD families; however, the districts priority is to protect the health and safety of all students and staff, as COVID numbers continue to climb.
Meal pickup will be available, but patrons must call the school no later than noon Friday to order. They can be picked up at the campus nearest each student.
