GARNETT–One possible problem to approve a $14 million school bond in Anderson County would be not knowing where a potential school site would be located. Studies are still on going by architects for possible locations. District officials say that the new elementary school would hold 500 students, have just one level and occupy at least 15 acres. Because of that size, officials say that the school would most likely be outside city limits. It is possible that the district would have to buy homes and displace families. If the bond issue is passed, it would also pay for miscellaneous repairs on other schools.
