TOPEKA — An 18-year-old Carbondale man received minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash near I-470 in Topeka Saturday morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Billy Hite was on the westbound off-ramp at the Fairlawn Avenue interchange when he backed up on the ramp and hit a car driven by Dorothy Reed, 73, Topeka. She was injured and taken to St. Francis Medical Center. Hite refused treatment at the scene.
