OLATHE — A highway worker from Gardner escaped injury when a driver hit his dump truck Thursday on I-35 south of Olathe. A Kansas Department of Transportation dump truck driven by 38-year-old Brian Link was blocking traffic for other KDOT employees working on the road. The Kansas Highway Patrol says an SUV driven by Robert Callahan, 80, Overland Park; smashed into the back of Link’s truck. Callahan and a passenger, Marilyn Callahan, 76; were injured and taken to Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
