Anderson County High School Theatre and Vocal Departments has postponed its production of “Little Shop of Horrors”, tomorrow and Saturday. This, after cast members received permission from the USD 365 School Board to go “mask-less” on stage. The production, which will limit audience seating to ensure social distancing in the school auditorium, was set to follow the District’s mask requirements and force the singers and performers to use either masks or face shields while on stage. The lead in the production, Carly Hicks, addressed the School Board with the request saying they wanted it to be handled like a football, volleyball game and wrestling, where participants are close together, without a mask. She says there were problems with the sound and the microphones when the cast wore the masks.

USD 365 moved to an Online Learning Platform on Tuesday. A jump in the cases of COVID 19 in recent weeks raised Anderson County’s total case count so far to 292 as of yesterday. They will return to regular school on November 19th.
