Tonight the Rockwood Acres Neighborhood in east Ottawa, will light up with hundreds of luminaries, lining the street and driveways in a warm glow. It’s a tradition that goes back 50 plus years in the neighborhood on East 15th Street.
Coordinator of the event, Liza Jaworski, says this year they are collecting money and supplies for Hope House of Ottawa:
The event will start at 6:00 and run until about 9:00.
The Rockwood neighborhood was build in the 1950’s and has done the luminary event all but a few years since. Jaworski says people of all ages are involved. Take the family for a nice car ride tonight and enjoy the Rockwood experience.
