Fire crews are still working a house fire at 517 South Willow, where all four of Ottawa’s trucks were on scene. The call came in slightly before 8:30 this morning and even though fire crews were there in less than four minutes, the house was fully engulfed. Fire Chief Tim Mathias says the house is a total loss:

As part of a Mutual Aid Agreement, LOH Fire also had a truck on scene as a back up, and Ottawa’s Tower One was brought in to get above the fire and pour water down onto the collapsed structure. Mathias added that a neighbor was able to assist the man down from the roof. No one else was home when the fire began. KOFO will have details on the cause of the fire after the investigation is complete.
