A few months ago, the Anderson County Commission discussed installing Internet Fiber within the City of Garnett. The Commissioners believe that installing the Internet Fiber Infrastructure will entice businesses to come to the Anderson County area as well as help with remote learning and working from home. That work has begun. KWIK Com has announced they are expanding their Gigabit Fiber to home and the Fiber To Business Network in Garnett. The expansion is expected to provide gigabit internet to many neighborhoods in Garnett.

The cost of the project is expected to be about $450,000. The City of Garnett and the County Commissioners will provide $50,000 apiece toward the project and $100,000 would come from SPARK Funding.

If you would like to have service to your home, call KWIK Com or sign up online. There is no upfront cost to existing customers to switch to fiber. Check the City of Garnett Website for more information.
