Definitely a Season of Giving in Anderson County. Representatives of the Lake Garnett Grand Prix Revival presented a donation of $2,500 to the Garnett Ministerial Alliance recently. The funds were raised at the October Revival. The next Revival is set for October 8th thru 10th.
Southern Star recently donated a Chevy 4X4 2500 to the Crest School District. They will use it to help maintain school ground and sports fields.
More good news for Crest. Throckmorton Riser Foundation presented the District with $20,000 for improvements targeted for the K – 12 Music Program. It will allow them to replace and add instruments to the junior high and high school program, as well as equipment for the elementary music classes.
Finally, when the Garnett Fire Department decided to cancel their Annual Chili Supper due to COVUD 19 concerns, Dutch Country Café answered the call and committed 5% of their sales on November 28th to the cause. Recently, the fire department was presented a check for $300 from Dutch Country Café
