OTTAWA–Getting the new addition to the Ottawa Community Recreation center got a lot easier. Bank of the West contributed $1,000 to the ORC to support constructing the new Goppert Building yesterday. The new addition to the center will include a mulit-purpose gymnasium with elevated walking track, mulit-purpose meeting/party rental/group fitness room, restrooms, and ORC offices. The location of the building will be on 705 W. 15th and Ash. The ORC hopes to break ground later this year. Anyone interested in sposoring an ORC program or donating to the new building project may contact Therron Dieckmann, Executive Director of Ottawa Recreation Commission.
