OSAWATOMIE — Two 11-year-old Osawatomie cousins recently celebrated their birthdays. They had the usual food and entertainment. But they didn’t get any presents. Instead, the Osawatomie Journal reported that Dylan Page and Lexi Wingerter asked their friends to donate to the Animal Haven animal shelter in Merriam. The party raised about $200 for the animal shelter.
