LAWRENCE — The founder of the new urbanism movement will be the speaker Thursday night at 7 for Kansas University’s Galloway Urban Planning Lecture Series. Miami architect and professor Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk has become internationally known for her efforts to kill suburbs and resurrect city centers, and to boost urban agriculture and fill empty urban space. She will speak at in the Hancock Ballroom at the Oread Hotel in Lawrence.
