TOPEKA — The Kansas Highway Patrol will join in a new national safety program called “Teens and Trucks.” The Highway Patrol will unveil the program this morning in Topeka. The program is designed to cut the number crashes between large trucks and passenger cars driven by teens. The Highway Patrol said most of those crashes are caused by the drivers of the cars. Troopers say that young people don’t realize that trucks and cars differ in their handling.
