LAWRENCE – Two area biomedical science students will be honored by Kansas University and Haskell Indian Nations University at a faculty mentor recognition ceremony Monday afternoon at KU. They are among 48 students who are taking part in five National Institutes of Health programs at the two universities. They are Timothy Day, Paola, a KU senior in biochemistry and microbiology; and Ashley Tucker, Baldwin City, Haskell student in environmental science.
