GARNETT — One mystery on the Canadian tundra is solved but another remains. A Garnett man, George Feuerborn, was startled to see a “Garnett Kansas” sign at Watson Lake, Yukon Territory, in northwest Canada. Gary and Linda Benjamin told the Anderson County Review that they put the sign there during a vacation to the Yukon three years ago. It’s a tradition for travelers to leave signs from their hometowns at the spot in Canada. The Benjamins solved that mystery but they say there’s another mystery – who left a sign that says “Bush City, Kansas, 2,787 miles”?
