Next week is National Corrections Week. It’s a week set aside to honor, recognize and give thanks to those working in corrections facilities across the Nation. Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Richards says the occupation is a growing one and getting more attention:
He adds that it is often used as a stepping stone for those wanting to get into law enforcement and wanting to get some experience before heading that direction. He says they can hire Corrections Officers at the age of eighteen.
